Summer may be winding down, but cute bathing suits are still on our mind, especially as August and September, with their long weekends and back-to-school parties, roll around! Lisa from In Dramatic Fashion, popcosmo’s Fashion Contributor with the latest style tips and trends from NYC, scouted out the beaches and shores with an update on bathing suit coverups to take you from beach or pool to party or town:  Growing up, cute bathing suit cover ups were simply a giant t-shirt that could be thrown on for the short walk to the water. However, as I’ve gotten older I’ve searched for bathing suit cover ups with a bit more style. The best bathing suit cover ups are those that allow you to go from the beach or pool to lunch and maybe a bit of shopping without worrying a change stop at home.    The key components for a successful post-swim look include comfort, ease of slipping on and off, and preferably something absorbent. It seems that designers and style makers are in agreement and have begun offering some super cute ideas for post pool attire.

Cutoffs or jean shorts are a classic bathing suit cover ups and personal favorites. However there is nothing worse than trying to shimmy into tight shorts while still wet… awkward! Look for a loose boyfriend, wide leg, or drawstring pair.

Another personal favorite is the loose tank dress. Crochet and eyelet are classics and are always in style, but looser, lighter, and more boho is in for this summer. When thrown over your swimsuit you still get a peek of your cute suit! Breezy and light, and somewhat sheer mini dresses, that still leaves you covered, what’s not to love? Another beach must-have is the rash-guard. In classic blue and white stripes, the nautical feel gives it a timeless twist to take it from surf to shore.
