bad days and good days

Chloe GordonComment

You know those days where nothing seems to be going right?

You know those weeks when everything seems to be going wrong?

You know, I know you know.

You can’t let those days or weeks define your life.

We all have bad days and we all have bad weeks. They happen. They’re meant to happen.

You want to know why they’re meant to happen?

It’s because those are the days and weeks that make you appreciate the good days and weeks.

It sounds absolutely cheesy and so cliche, but think about it…

Why do we appreciate the warm, late night, fun summer months? Because of the frigid, dreary, cold winter months.

Why do we appreciate the beautiful, snowy, cozy winter months? Because of the humid, buggy, and boring summer months.

Next time you have a bad day or week or month or even year, just remember that it’s happening for a reason. It’s there because you’re about to have the best day, week, month, year. I promise.

Bad things happen, but so do good things, you just have to remember that.

Thanks for reading!

low stress conversation

Chloe GordonComment

I feel like I am my most creative when I’m busiest with school. There’s something about not having time to be creative that makes me feel my most inspired. Is it just me?

But then this makes me wonder why school can’t be creative. In my favorite class (Technology, Arts, and Media) my teacher was talking about how he wanted to make education a conversation. A low stress conversation in fact. When he said this I had my first epiphany… why the heck aren’t all my classes a low stress conversation?

I feel like I am constantly learning memorable facts and quotes and history through conversations with my friends, so just imagine the power that a low stress conversation with your professor and class members can hold.

A crazy thought, right?

Education is such a tricky topic to discuss, simply because there is no right or wrong answer. However, I seriously think we should put more power in low stress conversational learning.

Just think about that.

Sharks know best

I'll be the first to admit it, I'm a Shark Tank addict. I've watched every single episode since day 1 of the show and am always looking forward to seeing the products and learning about entrepreneurship. I've bought a couple of products, but tune in weekly to find great new companies and ideas. One of the very first ideas that caught my attention was Drop Stop. it immediately had me saying, "Why didn't I think of that?!" But I didn't and they did and it's perfect. So let me know tell you all about it.

Drop Stop is a simple concept that is a seat gap filler for your car. You know the gap as where all your spare change and french fries disappear. The Drop Stop does exactly what it says: it stops anything from dropping in the gap. It's a neoprene tube with a cutout for your seat belt and takes less than a minute to install.

At first when I was installing mine, I didn't think it would fit. But I rotated my seat belt latch up a bit and it fit like a charm.

Besides catching dropped food and change, I also think this is a good idea to put in my kids' car so they aren't digging for something that dropped while driving. In fact, Oprah and AAA have endorsed Drop Stop to declutter your car and drive safely. Drive safe and check out the Drop Stop.
