READ

The Girls. It’s literally such a great book. Everyone who sees me reading it that has read it says “omg I loved that book” or something along those lines. The way the author writes about certain details is just so beautiful and makes some mundane things about life almost seem magical in a way. 10/10 recommend.

WATCH

Riverdale on Netflix. I grew up reading Archie comics so I’m all about that Riverdale life. It’s kinda cheesy kinda amazing so it’s worth watching, obviously. I described it to my friend as a small town Gossip Girl, and I just think that’s about all you need. Watch it!

LISTEN

I watched the show Big Little Lies and fell in love with the soundtrack. The song River by Leon Bridges is a must listen. It’s on the slower side but it’s just so perfect. Everyone loves the show and this song especially so give it a listen for sure.

SHOP

My mom and I went shopping today and we popped into Abercrombie. We usually get overwhelmed by the loud music and strong strong smells (grandma status) but this time the environment was, well, shop-able. I found this Flutter dress and bought it in two colors. It fits perfectly and can be dressed up or down or anywhere in between.

SEE

A few funny tweets. Some are funny, others are funnier. Can’t go wrong with a sprinkle of humor.

READ

I read this short passage on Tumblr the other day and my mind was blown. I always think about getting into ruts with what I physically do each day, but I’ve never really thought about the ruts we’re in with things we don’t think about as often — especially when it comes to words. Toc-Tic is just wrong.

WATCH

If I could choose any famous person’s sense of humor to take for my own it would, hands down, be Steve Harvey. He’s hilarious and I always find myself watching his “best of” videos on YouTube, especially when I’m in need of some cheering up. This video is one of my favorites, and that little boy.. SO CUTE.

Confession, when I looked up the link to this video I got distracted by all of the Little Big Shot videos so watch all of them haha.

LISTEN

In honor of my friends going to his concert this week, I decided to share RUFUS DU SOL. I love his song “Sundream” and think you guys should give it a listen. It’s kinda bumpin’ but also chill. The perfect summer night song.

SHOP

I’m working at Anthropologie this summer and it’s dangerously awesome. I want to spend my paychecks on literally everything in the store and it’s taking all of my will power not to purchase one of each. However, a lot of my co-workers have been purchasing this jumpsuit and I’m dying to try it on. Jumpsuits never look that great on me, but I’m convinced I need it.

SEE

Something about this photo illuminates summer. Maybe it’s the fleetingness of it — summer is here and then gone in the blink of an eye. Maybe it’s the black and white. Maybe it’s the bare feet on the pedals. All I see is summer.

A Walk To Work

Chloe Gordon1 Comment

I’ve officially been on summer break for about a week and half. It’s nice to have zero projects or assignments to be stressed about, but I’ve always been happier the busier I am. There’s something so nice about being busy and having things to do.

I’m currently a sales associate and it’s a dream. I can walk to work and walk home during my breaks. I also love all the girls I’m working with. Most are super creative people so when we have time to chat I’m always impressed by the things they’ve done or the dreams they have for their futures.

While working is literal perfection, I’m struggling with the whole makeup thing here in Florida. The walk to work is fairly short, but by the time I get there all my makeup has been sweated off. It’s ridiculous. I’ve decided to start wearing three things and then I call it a day.

step one: throw a little eyeliner on
step two: throw a little mascara on
step three: put on my Hawaiian Tropic® Silk Hydration® all over my face
You can pick up your own Hawaiian Tropic product at Walgreens to earn free gift cards by using Shopkick

These three easy steps keep me feeling confident, fresh, and definitely protected. The best part about Hawaiian Tropic® is that it offers experiential sun protection by pampering your skin with luxurious moisturization while indulging your senses with soothing scents and exotic island botanicals. It’s the perfect thing to put on in the morning before I head into work, because even though my walk is short I definitely need something to protect my face from the harsh Florida sun!

Thanks so much for reading!
